Support Our Work
Our programs are funded through the generosity of our community. From individual donors, to local businesses, community groups, and foundations, your support enables us to reach more than 2,500 families across Greater Portland with reliable access to nourishing food when they need it most.
Food insecurity is a prevalent and persistent issue
in our community. Together, we can change that.
The good news is: There is enough healthy food to nourish every child in Maine.
With your support and through our extensive network of public, nonprofit, and business partnerships, we reach thousands of families with nutritious food. By providing reliable access to fresh food and staples, we’re also helping to lighten the financial and emotional burden for families. We believe that all kids deserve to grow, learn, and thrive to their fullest potential. Maine kids shouldn’t have to worry about having enough to eat.
Learn more about how our programs, led by our small team, are powered by hundreds of volunteers and made possible through community collaboration and partnerships. Together, we’re supporting families, building community, and reducing local food waste.
Your support helps children thrive,
fueling our whole community.
We rely on the community members who believe in our mission to help fund our programs. Eliminating child hunger in Maine will take more than food, and we actively support the regional and statewide organizations that are tackling food security through policy change and those that are working to address the root causes of hunger.
With your help, we provide immediate support for families, because we know that children need nutritious foods now. Connecting kids with nutrient-dense foods is an investment in their future and in ours.

Private Foundations & Local Groups
Grants and gifts from foundations and community groups make it possible for us to respond to the rise in child hunger and changing community needs with reliable, low-barrier food assistance.
In FY25, we received financial support from the United Way of Southern Maine, Maine Community Foundation, and many others.

Corporate Foundations & Local Business Sponsors
Philanthropic support from corporations and small businesses helps to power our programs and build local awareness of the prevalence of child hunger. There are several ways businesses can make a meaningful impact at any giving level, while strengthening our whole community’s commitment to childhood food security.
Thank you to the many businesses that have supported us in the past year!
